Serenity Quietly for Sale by Robin Williams

This peaceful Napa Valley beauty known as Villa Sorriso is owned by comedy genius Robin Williams and commands a serious price of 29.9 million. Newly married and planning to start afresh in surroundings they choose together, Mr. Williams and his bride are parting with this lovely stone and stucco hideaway. With 20,000 square feet of luxury home with five bedrooms, six full and six partial baths, this is a home that offers everything to even the most discriminating buyer. The 653 acre estate includes a 24 acre vineyard, an olive grove, infinity pool, tennis court, horse barn and trails, and a natural lake.

Sorriso, or Smile in Italian, is what you’ll do when you arrive down the private access road to this Italianate limestone and stucco home built with a Tuscan flair. The arched mahogany front door is echoed gracefully by the arched windows and french doors; and the columns, cupola, and clay tile roof add details that will have you exclaiming “Ciao bella!” Enter the front door and feast your eyes on the beautifully appointed interior of this exceptional home, starting in the foyer with sweeping limestone staircase and high ceilings. The kitchen is a chef’s dream, open to an informal dining area with stunning views and french doors leading onto the manicured grounds. The living room has a panoramic view of the Mayacamas mountains and valleys. Five bedroom suites offer every luxury, from color-saturated tasteful decor, to elegant ceiling treatments, balconies with gorgeous views, and well-appointed full baths.

Special features any millionaire would covet are tucked into this gorgeous home; such as the oak paneled theater, oak library with weathered copper ceiling, the arched state-of-the-art wine cellar large enough for a tasting party, a climate-controlled art gallery, and an elevator to give ease to tired or special-needs guests. Outside are sculptured terrace gardens, a 65 foot infinity pool overlooking the valley, tennis courts, private trails for walking and horseback riding, a stable with seven stalls, and a natural lake with boat dock.

On a practical level, the estate includes a solar farm, a spacious caretaker’s cottage, and a working farm including the vineyard, olive grove, and both cattle and goats. There are also three safe rooms wrapped in Kevlar and a state of the art security system for those serious about home safety.

Bordering Sugarloaf State Park, this property is a private paradise filled with every amenity and pleasure, waiting to catch the eye of royalty, whether Hollywood or Wall Street!

  1. If I had the money I would. I would keep the vinyard going which the profits would go to help the children of America. The olive grove would grow and be produced in his name and the profits from that would go to help the homeless get back on their feet. I would have 2 horse(1 named Mork and the 2 one would be Mindy).
